I picked my classroom pet up today from the lovely family who watched her while we were on vacation. She's a box turtle named Myrtle. Her summer home is a large rubbermaid tub that I can close up to protect her from raccoons. During the day though, the tub is open so she can have fresh air all day.
Freya, our irish wolfhound, had never met Myrtle before and to say she's fascinated would be putting it mildly. She has spent most of the afternoon outside watching Myrtle. She's even given a few worried barks.
|What IS that thing?|
Myrtle, on the other hand, isn't real concerned about the whole thing.
